Laurent Blanc to decide France future this week

Following talks with the French Football Federation, France manager Laurent Blanc says that his future will be decided within 48 hours.

Laurent Blanc has claimed that his future as France manager will be decided within 48 hours.

The 46-year-old, whose current contract is due to expire at the end of this month, has been linked with the managerial vacancy at Tottenham Hotspur.

Blanc held lengthy talks with French Football Federation president Noel le Graet earlier today.

"Our meeting did not last all day because I had other commitments," Blanc told L'Equipe.

"But everyone said what they had to say, including about the Euros.

"We have many things in common but it is also a personal decision concerning me. We gave ourselves a deadline of 48 hours."

Blanc, who represented Les Bleus 97 times during his playing career, took charge of the national team in May 2010.
