Johnny Heitinga reiterates that he could leave Everton this summer by claiming that he experienced his "worst season" at Goodison Park.

Everton defender Johnny Heitinga has suggested once again that his time at Goodison Park could be coming to an end by claiming that he experienced his "worst season" in the 2012-13 campaign.

The Dutchman failed to secure a regular starting spot last season, prompting him to reject the offer of a new contract.

"I've had my worst season since I joined," Sky Sports News quotes Heitinga as saying. "I don't want to extend my contract because it would mean they'd be my final club outside Holland."

The 29-year-old made 30 appearances for the Merseyside outfit in David Moyes's final campaign in charge.
