Slaven Bilic: 'Mark Noble has England chance under manager Sam Allardyce'

West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic backs Mark Noble to receive his first England call-up under new manager Sam Allardyce.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has backed Mark Noble to force his way into the England squad under new boss Sam Allardyce.

The 29-year-old has never been capped at senior level for the Three Lions, but could be in contention as he played under Allardyce for four years at West Ham.

Allardyce was appointed as Roy Hodgson's successor last month following England's poor Euro 2016 campaign, which ended at the last-16 stage.

Bilic believes that Allardyce's new role is good news for Noble, Andy Carroll and Aaron Cresswell, but only if they perform well for their club this season.

"[Noble's] got everything, he's at the best age and he's captain of the club," Sky Sports News quotes Bilic as saying. "He had a terrific season with many people - not only me - thinking he deserved to be in the squad; I didn't see many midfield players have a season like he did last year.

"He has a manager now in Sam Allardyce who knows how good and useful he can be, not only on the pitch but in the dressing room as well.

"But I have told all the players, like Aaron Cresswell and Andy Carroll, that they have all have a chance but they will not get in the England team because they had a good season last year; there is no yesterday in football. They have to play consistently well for West Ham or they are not going to play for England."

Noble made 20 appearances at Under-21 level.
