Chelsea are reportedly considering whether to make an approach for Barcelona defender Sergino Dest during the January transfer window.

Chelsea have reportedly identified Barcelona defender Sergino Dest as a potential January transfer target.

While the Blues are not short of alternatives at wing-back, concerns remain over Ben Chilwell who is continuing to recover from an ACL injury.

If the England international makes significant progress over the coming weeks, Chelsea may shelve any plans to strengthen in that area of the pitch.

However, according to The Express, consideration is being given to making an approach for United States international Dest.

Despite making 16 appearances in all competitions this season, the 21-year-old has recently lost his place in the team, leading to suggestions that Barcelona are willing to cash in on his services.

The report suggests that Chelsea may be prepared to spend as much as £30m on the wideman, who is capable of playing on either flank.
