Chelsea will reportedly launch a bid for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez following Fernando Torres's continuous failure to find the back of the net.

Chelsea are reportedly considering a big-money move for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

The 25-year-old was thought to be at the top of Manchester City's wishlist until the club rubbished reports that they were pondering a £40m swoop for the Uruguay international.

It is believed that the Champions League winners are ready to test the Reds' resolve with a bid for Suarez at the end of the season due to Fernando Torres's constant struggle in front of goal, according to The Express.

Suarez, who moved to Anfield last year, recently insisted that he wants to spend many more seasons at the Merseyside club.
