Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has said that defeat to Arsenal in the Community Shield will not have a long-term impact on the side.
The Blues were beaten 1-0 by the Gunners at Wembley on Sunday to give Arsene Wenger his first win against Jose Mourinho, but Zouma says that Chelsea's focus is now on the defence of their Premier League title.
"There's no impact for the season, they won and we were unlucky. Congratulations to them," the 20-year-old told reporters. "We are happy to play a game in the Premier League. We lost the community shield, we were unlucky but we have to think about [the league].
"Every team can be champion, we want to be champion, we have to defend our title. We have a good squad and a good team. Mentally we are ready for that."
Chelsea kick off their Premier League season against Swansea City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
