Chelsea's Jose Mourinho: 'I hate divers'

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says that he was saddened by incidents in Glasgow and Amsterdam in the Champions League in midweek.

Jose Mourinho has promised to "strongly criticise" any of the Chelsea players who he believes is guilty of diving.

The Portuguese manager's comments come in the wake of midweek controversy in the Champions League, with Neymar accused of exaggerating a kick from Scott Brown and Mario Balotelli conning the referee into awarding a penalty against Ajax.

"I have told the players many times, I hate it. It is very bad," the 50-year-old told reporters. "And the search of a red card for another player is a disgrace.

"I am not saying I will drop someone. Maybe the player is very important for me and makes a mistake and maybe I don't drop him. But I will strongly criticise him, yes. And if one day I win the game where I feel one of my players didn't behave correctly, I will say it.

"In some countries if you don't do it you become like the naive one because others do. But you could see for example in the Champions League this week, what happened in Glasgow and Amsterdam. And for me that is fairly sad."

Mourinho was critical of Jan Verthonghen for his role in Fernando Torres's sending-off at White Hart Lane last week.
