Jose Mourinho: I will not "run away"

Jose Mourinho reiterates that he will not "run away" from Chelsea as the Blues look to kick-start a tumultuous Premier League campaign.

Under-fire manager Jose Mourinho has reiterated that he will not "run away" from Chelsea and has claimed that he does not regret returning to Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho's men sit 16th in the Premier League table in what has proven a troubled defence of their title, winning eight points from a possible 24 thus far, but he claims that he will turn it around.

The Portuguese, who led the Blues to league crowns in 2005 and 2006, returned to West London in 2013 after being sacked by Real Madrid.

"I do not regret going back to Chelsea. I returned and won the league," the 52-year-old told reporters at the launch of his new book.

"It was the end of a super squad. Frank Lampard represented a super generation and to win the league without Frank was a huge success.

"That generation is finished, but we want to achieve more. I am not going to run away. I believe more good moments are going to happen. I will work and fight and wait for the results."
