How Chelsea could line up against Videoton

Ahead of Thursday's Europa League clash between Videoton and Chelsea, Sports Mole looks at how Maurizio Sarri's side could line up in Hungary.

Chelsea head into their Europa League encounter with Videoton having already secured their place in the last 32 of the competition.

Maurizio Sarri has witnessed his side win each of their five fixtures in Group L, and it gives the Italian the opportunity to make changes to his team for Thursday's match.

However, Sarri will be keen to maintain the club's momentum, with a 2-0 victory having been recorded over Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend.

Sarri will also take the club's upcoming trip to Brighton & Hove Albion into consideration, and here Sports Mole looks at how his team could line up against the Hungarian outfit.

Out: Marco van Ginkel (knee)
Doubtful: Mateo Kovacic (thigh)

Ethan Ampadu and Callum Hudson-Odoi are both in contention for a starting role, having featured for just a total of 153 minutes during the opening five fixtures.

Alvaro Morata should also come into the team having not featured in the 18-man squad against City, and that could lead to the Spaniard getting the nod over Olivier Giroud.

Cesc Fabregas is likely to start in midfield, while Ross Barkley could also be involved in the first XI having not started a Chelsea game for nearly two weeks.

Kepa Arrizabalaga has started in each of the previous group-stage games, but Willy Caballero may be given a rare chance with youngster Marcin Bulka potentially being included on the bench.

David Luiz and Jorginho are likely to be among the players rested for this game, while Mateo Kovacic will sit out the fixture with a thigh problem.
