Chris Hughton delighted with Brighton & Hove Albion displays

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton reveals that he has been delighted with the standard of his side's displays this season as they chase a club record.

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton has admitted that he is elated with his side's performances this season.

The Seagulls can break a club record in their clash against MK Dons by remaining unbeaten in 17 league games as they have yet to lose in the Championship this season.

Hughton's men have lost their grip on top spot after drawing their last three matches, but the 56-year-old is hopeful that his side can return to the automatic promotion places by getting back to winning ways.

He told the club's official website: "I've been delighted with all of the challenges so far. If you are top of the division it's more of a challenge, but the way that the players have handled themselves has been excellent. The team have enjoyed being where we are and they won't want to come out of the top group of teams.

"That's the competitive nature of what we do, it's been a nice feeling being where we were and we want to stay around there. I am very proud and I couldn't have asked for anymore from the players, but you still reflect on some of the draws that really should have been wins.

"We would be in a really good position, so I'm very proud of the team but we do need to start turning the draws into wins."

Brighton take on the MK Dons at the Amex Stadium today.
