Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton challenges his side to break Manchester United's "rhythm" when the clubs meet at the Amex Stadium on Friday night.

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton has acknowledged that his side cannot afford to stand off Manchester United in Friday's clash in the Premier League.

United head into the match on the brink of ensuring second place in the league standings, while Brighton are still looking to secure safety in the top flight.

The pressure is on the Seagulls to perform at the Amex Stadium, and Hughton has suggested that his players must focus on disrupting the play of Jose Mourinho's team.

"You have to go into every game thinking you can get a result - we'll be buoyed by our previous matches but United are in a good rhythm - these are the challenges we've worked so hard for," the 59-year-old told reporters at a press conference.

"We have to be good on the ball and cause them problems - for any side that has their quality you know they'll be offensive and you know at times they'll take chances going forward."

Brighton head into the game having failed to record a win in their last seven matches in all competitions.
