Brentford 'join chase' for Coventry City's Callum Wilson

Newly-promoted Championship side Brentford reportedly become the latest club to show an interest in signing Callum Wilson from Coventry.

Newly-promoted Championship side Brentford have reportedly become the latest club to show an interest in signing Callum Wilson from Coventry City.

The Bees are believed to be after a new frontman as Fulham's Marcello Trotta isn't expected to return to Griffin Park after two seasons on loan.

Wilson has been attracting plenty of interest from Championship clubs this summer, with Norwich City, Bournemouth, Reading and Wolverhampton Wanderers all linked with a move for the 22-year-old, who scored 21 league goals for the Sky Blues last season.

According to the People, Brentford are set to make a £2m bid for the striker.
