Sports Mole previews the Olympic semi-final clash between South Korea and Brazil at Old Trafford.

South Korea will look to record one of the biggest shocks in Olympic history when they face Brazil in the semi-finals of the football competition on Tuesday.

The Selecao became only the sixth side since 1968 to score 12 goals before the semi-finals having struck three goals in each of their four tournament matches, but they have also conceded five goals in that run.

Meanwhile, they have yet to record a medal despite 11 appearances in the Olympics, although they are the favourites to triumph this year.

They reached this stage with victories over Egypt, Belarus and New Zealand, while they twice fell behind before beating Honduras in the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, Korea finished second in Group B behind Mexico following two draws and a win in the group stage, while they recorded a 5-4 penalty win over Team GB in the quarter-finals.

This is also the first time they have reached the semi-final stage in Olympic competition, but they have already guaranteed themselves the chance to play for a medal.

South Korea have a serious doubt over first choice goalkeeper Jung Sung-Ryong after he picked up a knock against Team GB, and therefore Lee Bum-young could come into the side. Meanwhile, Kim Chang-Soo is also expected to miss out.

Brazil boss Mano Menezes will welcome Alex Sandro back from suspension, while Sandro should also recover from a knock he picked up against Honduras.

Possible lineups:

South Korea: Lee; Oh, Young, Y Kim, K Kim; B Kim, Ki, Koo, Han; Ji, Park

Brazil: Neto; Rafael, Juan, Thiago Silva, Marcelo; Sandro, Romulo, Oscar; Hulk, Damio, Neymar

Sports Mole says: 1-3
