Henrikh Mkhitaryan: 'I want to improve next season'

Borussia Dortmund playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan insists that he wants to improve on his showings of last season when the new Bundesliga campaign gets underway.

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has revealed that he wants to improve on his time at the club when the new Bundesliga season gets underway.

The playmaker managed 13 goals and 10 assists in all competitions during his first season at BVB, but has now insisted that he wants to move to the next level under Jurgen Klopp's guidance.

"I'm going to try to do more this season," said the attacking midfielder, according to the official Bundesliga website.

"I'll do my best. I don't want to stay at this level of performance; I want to build on it. I always try to give my all in every game and in every training session to make our supporters happy."

Dortmund get their Bundesliga campaign going against Bayer Leverkusen next weekend.
