Birmingham City land Kristian Pedersen from Union Berlin

Birmingham City complete the signing of Danish defender Kristian Pedersen from Union Berlin.

Birmingham City have completed the signing of defender Kristian Pedersen from Union Berlin.

Previous reports suggest that the Blues paid £2.2m to secure the left-back's services.

Pedersen, who is capped for Denmark at Under-21 level, has signed a four-year contract with the Championship outfit.

The 23-year-old started in 30 of Berlin's 34 league matches in the German second tier last season.

Pedersen is Garry Monk's first signing since taking charge of Birmingham.
