Dunga: 'Neymar not yet a superstar'

New Brazil boss Dunga claims that Barcelona attacker Neymar needs to win the World Cup to be regarded as a true star.

Brazil boss Dunga believes that Neymar needs to win the World Cup to be regarded as a true star.

The Barcelona forward is seen as his country's leading man at the age of 22, but his new national team boss has challenged him to elevate his status with a World Cup win.

"He's the best player in Brazil but no star. To have star status, you have to have world champion credentials on your back," Dunga told Epoca.

"But we are going to work to make sure that, when he's with the Selecao, Neymar performs above the level that defines a star."

Brazil were beaten 7-1 by Germany in the semi-finals of the World Cup this summer.
