Barcelona defender Alejandro Balde does not want to join Ajax this month, according to a report.

Barcelona defender Alejandro Balde is reportedly not interested in joining Ajax this month.

The 18-year-old has made six appearances for the Catalan giants during the 2021-22 campaign, including four outings in Spain's top flight.

Balde has only played one minute of La Liga football since November 6, though, with the defender down the pecking order when it comes to the left-back position at the club.

According to Marca, Ajax had asked Barcelona for the teenager as part of a deal which would have taken Argentine defender Nicolas Tagliafico to Camp Nou.

However, the report claims that the Spain Under-19s international has told his club that he does not want to join the Amsterdam giants before the transfer window closes for business.

Balde, who has also played against Bayern Munich and Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League this season, still has two-and-a-half years left to run on his contract at Camp Nou.
