Report: Atletico Madrid want Carlos Bacca

Sevilla forward Carlos Bacca emerges as a reported transfer target for Atletico Madrid.

Sevilla forward Carlos Bacca is a reported transfer target for Atletico Madrid.

The Spanish champions are in the market for at least two new forwards this summer following the departure of David Villa and the expected loss of Diego Costa to Chelsea.

Manchester City's Alvaro Negredo and Chelsea's Romelu Lukaku have both been strongly linked with the La Liga champions, but it is understood that Atletico are currently pursuing other targets.

One of those targets, according to Marca, is Colombian forward Bacca, who scored 21 times for Sevilla last season after joining from Club Brugge.

Seven of Bacca's 21 goals came in Sevilla's triumphant Europa League campaign.
