Morgan Schneiderlin rejects Arsenal, prefers Tottenham Hotspur move?

Morgan Schneiderlin will reject a move to Arsenal in favour of teaming up with former boss Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports.

Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin will reject a transfer to Arsenal in favour of a move to their North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports.

Arsenal are keen to make Schneiderlin their second summer signing from St Mary's, following the £16m arrival of Calum Chambers yesterday. However, the France midfielder is apparently so determined to link up with former boss Mauricio Pochettino that he is willing to forgo Champions League football.

The Telegraph reports that Southampton value Schneiderlin at £27m, although Spurs hope that the 24-year-old's desire to leave the club will force the Saints to lower their asking price.

Reports yesterday suggested that Spurs were close to agreeing a double deal to bring both Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez to White Hart Lane.
