Report: Arsenal to open contract talks with Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal are reportedly planning to open contract talks with Alexis Sanchez and are prepared to make him the highest-paid player at the club.

Arsenal are reportedly planning to begin talks with Alexis Sanchez before the end of the year regarding a new contract.

The 26-year-old has become a regular member of Arsene Wenger's team after joining from Barcelona last year.

According to ESPN, the North London outfit are willing to make the Chile international the highest-paid player at the club with improved contract terms.

Sanchez's representatives are expected to sit down with the Premier League club before the hectic festive schedule.

The forward has three years remaining on his current deal.
