Juventus reportedly identify Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio as an ideal replacement for Paulo Dybala, who is set to leave on a free transfer this summer.

Juventus have reportedly identified Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio as an ideal replacement for Paulo Dybala.

Dybala's contract with the Serie A giants expires at the end of the current season, and the Argentina international has supposedly decided to leave the club on a free transfer this summer.

While Juve bolstered their attacking ranks in January with the capture of Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina, Dybala's departure would likely force the Old Lady to dip into their war chest again.

According to Defensa Central, Juve have earmarked Asensio as Dybala's successor, with the 26-year-old out of contract in 2023 and also being heavily linked with a move elsewhere.

However, the report adds that Real Madrid are after at least €50m (£42m) to sanction Asensio's sale, with Juve prepared to offer the Spain international a yearly salary of €7m (£5.9m).

Arsenal and Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in Asensio, who has scored 10 goals and provided one assist in 33 games across all competitions this season.
