Paolo Di Canio: Mesut Ozil is "a rather good player"

Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio hails Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil's performance against his side in their 3-1 defeat to the Gunners.

Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio has hailed the performance of Mesut Ozil during his side's 3-1 defeat to Arsenal.

The German international made his Premier League debut against the Black Cats and produced an outstanding display in Arsene Wenger's team's victory at the Stadium of Light.

Di Canio told reporters: "He was lucky, every touch was good! We will all have to check, they were like a glove. He is a rather good player."

Sunderland are bottom of the Premier League after taking just one point from their opening four games this season.
