Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Conor Coady admits that he "didn't like" Arsenal's celebrations after the Gunners' 1-0 win at Molineux on Thursday.

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Conor Coady has taken a swipe at Arsenal's post-match celebrations in their 1-0 Premier League win at Molineux on Thursday night.

The Gunners went ahead in the first half of the tightly-fought contest through Gabriel Magalhaes before Gabriel Martinelli's bizarre red card after the break.

Mikel Arteta's side managed to shut up shop successfully with 10 men for the rest of the encounter to take all three points back home to the Emirates, with Ruben Neves claiming that Arsenal had celebrated "like they had won the league".

Coady has now given his similar take on Arsenal's joyous scenes after the final whistle, telling BBC Radio 5 Live: "We've seen them [the celebrations], we heard them. We've obviously seen the whole thing, I know Ruben has obviously spoken out after it.

"They celebrated quite hard, didn't they? It probably obviously shows how big the game was to them, and to us – it was big to us as well. Listen, we spoke about it all week, we prepared right, we made sure we were ready and I actually thought we played quite well if I'm being honest.

"We had the ball, we created different things, but listen Arsenal are a top side. So we've seen the celebrations, I'll be honest with you, from our point of view, we really didn't like them.

"It's something where we've got two weeks' time now to try and put it right going back to the Emirates and try and put on a good game again."

Arsenal's win at Molineux moved them five points clear of Wolves in the Premier League table, with the Gunners now sixth and Bruno Lage's side sitting eighth.
