Six Pro Patria fans receive prison sentences for racial abusing AC Milan players during a friendly in January.

Six Pro Patria fans have been handed jail terms for racially abusing AC Milan players during a mid-season friendly in January.

Kevin-Prince Boateng led a mass walk-off after 25 minutes of the match in Busto Arsizi, which was met with widespread support and led to him being named on a FIFA task force charged with combating racism.

The Ghanaian international picked up the ball and kicked it at the fans taunting him and teammates Urby Emanuelson, Sulley Muntari and M'Baye Niang.

According to the ANSA news agency, five fans were hit with two-month sentences, while one of the accused was given a 40-day sentence for collaborating with authorities.

All six were given fines of just over £8,000.

Pro Patria have since been involved in another race row.
