AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has said that he is confident that his side can defeat Juventus in Serie A on Sunday.

The Rossoneri giants will head into their home game against the Italian champions 12th in the league standings.

"We are on the eve of an important game," said Allegri. "We are facing the league's strongest team and we will have a good match from every point of view.

"A positive result would make things look different, and it would certainly be a big help.

"We will have to play with great intensity for 100 minutes, without faltering and making mistakes. It will need to be an almost perfect match."

Juventus are currently at the top of the Serie A table.
