PDC Tour cards confirmed after final day of Q-School

Jim Long and Maik Kuivenhoven prevail on the final day of Q-School to secure their PDC Tour Cards, while a further 21 players are confirmed through the Order of Merit.

Canada's Jim Long and Dutchman Maik Kuivenhoven have won the UK and European events on the final day of Q-School to secure their PDC Tour Cards.

More than 200 players were competing in the two competitions in a bid to try to seal their place on the PDC Tour for the next two years.

Fifty-six-year-old Long has made two appearances in the PDC World Championship, but the veteran was a surprise victor as he took some notable scalps.

John O'Shea and Andy Boulton were among the players to fall to Long before he came from 3-1 adrift to record a 6-4 win over Kelvin O'Keefe in the final.

Meanwhile, Kuivenhoven remains on the tour having lost just 19 legs across his seven matches on Sunday, defeating Pero Ljubic in the final by a 6-3 scoreline.

Who has earned a tour card through the Order of Merit?

Bradley Brooks - who was the best player by far across the four days - finished seven points clear at the top of the Order of Merit to remain on the tour.

Darryl Pilgrim, Greg Ritchie, Adam Lipscombe, Adam Paxton, Cam Crabtree, Adam Warner, Boulton and Thomas Lovely are the other eight players to book their place on the tour for the next two years.

Female star Beau Greaves narrowly missed out in 17th spot, while Fallon Sherrock's early exit on Sunday left her down in 33rd place.

PDC stalwarts such as Mervyn King and Simon Whitlock are among the other big names to find themselves in the wilderness for at least the next 12 months.

As for the European Order of Merit, Cor Dekker topped the standings ahead of Ljubic and Karel Sedlacek.

Oskar Lukasiak, Tytus Kanik, Rusty-Jake Rodriguez, Dominik Gruellich, Stefaan Henderyck, Maximilian Czerwinski, Max Hopp, Leon Weber and Marvin van Velzen also performed well enough over the last four days to secure their place.

WDF number one Jimmy van Schie and Dutch star Jeffrey de Zwaan were the big names to narrowly miss out.
