England have beaten Pakistan by 20 runs in their second ODI in Abu Dhabi.

Captain Alastair Cook became the first England captain to make two consecutive ODI centuries, before he was caught and bowled by Shahid Afridi for 102.

Fellow opener Kevin Pietersen was bowled lbw by Saeed Ajmal for 26, while Jonathan Trott was caught by Umar Akmal off the bowling of Aiziz Cheema for 23.

Ravi Bopara scored his second consecutive half-century before he went the same way as Trott as England made 250.

Pakistan's openers started solidly as Mohammad Hafeez made 26 before being caught by Trott from the bowling of Jimmy Anderson.

Meanwhile, Imran Farhat hit an impressive 47 until he was run out by Stuart Broad.

Azhar Ali (31) and Younis Khan (5) both fell to the bowling of Samit Patel, while Umar Akmal hit a stubborn 21 before he was caught by Patel off Steve Finn as Pakistan set up a nervy finish.

However, Afridi (18) and Abdul Rehman (1) saw Pakistan's hopes crumble, despite Misbah-ul-Haq's impressive knock of 47.

As Pakistan's lower-end collapsed, Umar Gul (5) and Aiziz Cheema (1) were both bowled by Steve Finn as England claimed the win.
