Tommy Fury earns a controversial split-decision win over Youtuber KSI, while Logan Paul wins a farcical fight with Dillon Danis by disqualification.

Tommy Fury has ended the undefeated run of YouTuber KSI after being handed a controversial split-decision victory in Manchester.

At an event billed as the biggest in YouTube boxing history, Fury appeared to clearly lose the opening two rounds, as well as being deducted a point for hitting the back of KSI's head.

However, two judges ruled in his favour by a 57-56 verdict, while the other had it at 57-57, and it is a decision that KSI acknowledged that he will appeal.

The fight was difficult to score for large parts, with both fighters persistently holding after trying to land with one big shot rather than showing any desire to box.

In the first six minutes, that worked well for KSI, who landed the better right hands and hustled Fury into life in the latter rounds, albeit at a further disadvantage through a deserved point off for multiple punches behind the back of the head.

Nevertheless, Fury still came out on top, working his way into the bout as it progressed but not doing much of note to stand out and justify him being awarded the final four rounds.

At the same time, KSI notably tired and was prepared to hold his way through the second half of the fight, one that did not live up to the pre-match hype.

The same can be said of Logan Paul's showdown with Dillon Danis, a consequence of the latter making minimal effort to engage and ending the contest by trying to grapple Paul to the canvas.

Paul dominated from the off, his constant flurries not necessarily hurting Danis but being more than enough to outscore an inactive opponent on the scorecards.

To Danis's credit, he survived a barrage in the second round and attempted the odd pot-shot, but a farcical one-sided fight ended in even more comical circumstances as MMA fighter Danis tried - and failed - to illegally take Paul down to the canvas.

That led to Paul's security team entering the ring to stop Danis, who was ignoring the referee, to halt his attack, and it resulted in a brawl between both teams before it was confirmed that Danis had been disqualified.
