Washington Wizards guards John Wall and Bradley Beal have been released from the Team USA World Cup roster along with Atlanta Hawks forward Paul Millsap.
The roster has been reduced to 16 players following the latest cuts, with chairman Jerry Colangelo and coach Mike Krzyzewski expected to whittle the roster down to 12 ahead of the tournament.
Colangelo also thanked everyone for their support of Paul George in his statement, after the Indiana Pacers star sustained a compound leg fracture during an exhibition game last week.
Kevin Durant, Derrick Rose and Anthony Davis are amongst a group of players that are expected to make the final cut later this month.
