The Utah Jazz have said that Trey Burke has undergone successful surgery to repair the fracture to his finger.
The point guard broke his right index finger during the team's pre-season game against the Los Angeles Clippers at the weekend.
The 20-year-old is expected to spend three weeks wearing a cast on his finger, but will be able to take part in conditioning work during his recovery.
Burke was selected by the Jazz with the ninth overall pick in this year's Draft.
