Sacramento Kings star DeMarcus Cousins has blasted the former ownership of the franchise after making a winning start to the new season.
The Kings beat the Denver Nuggets 90-88 in their season opener amid celebrations over what the supporters see as the start of a new era.
"It felt like it was an AAU team. We were the worst. We weren't building for the future, we were just living for the moment," he said, according to News10.
Cousins was in fine form as he scored 30 points on Wednesday night, and is hopeful that there is a bright future ahead for the franchise under majority owner Vivek Randive.
