Kevin Durant: 'Oklahoma City Thunder had to match Hawks' intensity'

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant believes that the Atlanta Hawks "revved up their intensity" to face the Thunder.

Kevin Durant has said that the Oklahoma City Thunder faced an Atlanta Hawks side with a "revved up" intensity last night.

The Thunder had to defend hard to hold on for a 101-92 win over Atlanta, leaving them with just one defeat in their last 12 outings.

The forward told reporters: "They revved up their intensity on the defensive end, their physicality. We matched their intensity and were able to take that punch and give a bigger punch back on the defensive end."

Head coach Scott Brooks added: "We finally got a couple stops in a row at the end. Any time you hold an NBA team in the 30s percent-wise in field goals, then you're doing a good job defensively."

Durant led the team with 30 points.
