Monty Williams: 'More to come from Anthony Davis'

Monty Williams insists that Anthony Davis can play even better than he has been recently for the New Orleans Pelicans.

New Orleans Pelicans head coach Monty Williams has insisted that Anthony Davis can still improve his game following his impressive start to the season.

Davis scored 25 points as the Pelicans recorded their first victory as a franchise in the NBA by beating the Charlotte Bobcats 105-84 on Saturday night, but Williams still believes that the 20-year-old is well short of his best form.

The Pelicans coach told reporters: "[Davis] is doing it every single night but I think that he can be better.

"I want him to attack the basket more. Obviously I love the points but he's only scratching the surface as to where he's going to be as he gets stronger and learns how to draw more fouls."

Davis joined New Orleans as the first pick of the 2012 Draft.
