The New Orleans Pelicans have confirmed that Anthony Davis will be out for up to six weeks with a fractured hand.
The power forward, who was the top pick in the 2012 Draft, sustained a non-displaced fifth metacarpal break during Sunday's win over the New York Knicks.
The Pelicans' medical team has estimated that the 20-year-old will need to rest the hand for four to six weeks after undergoing tests yesterday.
Davis has averaged 18.8 points per game so far this season.
