Miami Heat star Ray Allen is reportedly towards returning for a 19th season in the NBA after briefly considering retirement following their NBA Finals loss.
While LeBron James opted out of his contract on Tuesday, Allen is understood to have a desire to continue to play alongside the two-time NBA champion whether that is in Miami or on another team, ESPN reports.
Allen will turn 39 next month but played in 73 regular season games this year and in all 20 post-season games while averaging 9.3 points in the playoffs.
Both James and Allen will become unrestricted free agents and it remains to be seen what the Miami front office offer their current roster to remain with the franchise.
