LeBron James puts off talk of future plans

Miami Heat's LeBron James says that he will not make a decision on whether to test free agency until after his summer vacation.

Miami Heat star LeBron James has insisted that he will not make any plans for his future until after he has gone on vacation with his family.

James has already met with Heat officials, who know that he can opt out of his contract or exercise the early-termination clause this summer, making him a free agent ahead of next season.

The 29 year-old had a similar decision to make in 2010 when he joined the Heat from the Cleveland Cavaliers, and has since won two NBA titles alongside league stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

James told the Miami Herald: "I haven't even begun to wrap my mind about free agency. I need to get away with my family before I start to think about what will happen next.

"For me, I just want to win and that's all that matters to me. I understand what this team, this franchise, brings to the table though."

James hinted that neither Wade or Bosh have made their own decisions yet ahead of next season, but also said his family will have a big impact on what he does next.
