LeBron James has said that the Miami Heat's preparation for the playoffs was evident during their win over the Brooklyn Nets last night.
The 107-86 win in the Eastern Conference semi-finals came eight days after the two-time defending champions last played, having beaten the Charlotte Bobcats 4-0 in the first round.
The forward, who led the team with 22 points, told reporters: "It was great that we were able to come out the way we did after being off eight days.
"We got a lot of work in. We had eight days off of not playing a basketball game but [coach Erik Spoelstra] got us in the gym. [We] got each other in the gym. We made each other accountable throughout the layoff and it proved tonight."
The Heat face the Nets again tomorrow.
