Memphis Grizzlies coach Dave Joerger has praised the performances of the Oklahoma City Thunder players as they knocked his side out of the playoffs on Saturday night.

The Grizzlies fell to a 4-3 first-round defeat, as Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook shone with a combined total of 60 points in the Thunder's 120-109 win in Game Seven.

"Great performances tonight by Oklahoma City. Kevin and Russ were absolutely terrific," Joerger told reporters after the game.

"We made them take some tough shots and they made some tough shots. We played our tails off but we just didn't have enough."

The Thunder will now go on to play in the semi finals, with the next round beginning on Monday.
