Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Farmar will be out of action for around four weeks after sustaining a tear in his hamstring.
The back-up point guard's injury was announced on Monday by the franchise, while Pau Gasol has also suffered a mild sprained ankle.
Farmar was forced to leave the game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night, and an ultrasound scan on Monday revealed the extent of the damage.
The UCLA product is averaging 9.2 points and 4.4 assists per game so far this season for the Lakers.
