Brian Shaw: 'I want immediate results with Denver Nuggets'

Denver Nuggets head coach Brian Shaw says that he wants to see immediate results in his first season with the team.

Brian Shaw has said that he wants to see immediate results in his first season in charge of the Denver Nuggets.

The former NBA guard was brought in during the off-season to replace George Karl following the team's fourth consecutive first-round playoff exit.

The head coach told the side's official website: "I would want the fans to want immediate results, and I'm pushing for us to have immediate results. I know they won't be immediate, but that's still our goal.

"It's a different team than the previous year, but I fully expect for everybody to take steps, take major steps, towards getting further than we did before.

"[Having injuries in pre-season] giving other guy more reps out there and a little more experience. It's part of the game. Better to get them out of the way now than have it happen during the season."

The Nuggets play the Phoenix Suns later today.
