Tom Thibodeau, head coach of the Chicago Bulls, has reportedly claimed that Derrick Rose has improved his jump shot during his time out with a knee injury.
Rose tore ligaments in his knee towards the end of the 2011-12 season and missed the whole of last year's campaign, but Thibodeau has told sources close to him that the former MVP will return to action with an improved shot from deep, according to the Chicago Tribune.
"What the summer has done is it's given him more time to build confidence and strength in his leg," Thibodeau told reporters earlier this summer.
"His entire body is a lot stronger."
Rose is expected to be fully fit for the season opener against the Miami Heat on October 29.
