Brooklyn Nets star Deron Williams could return to action on Tuesday night against the Boston Celtics, according to a team official.
Williams has missed the last eight games due to a sprained left ankle and the Nets have fallen to 5-14 for the season.
However, he is expected to return against the Celtics to give under-pressure rookie coach Jason Kidd a boost, ESPN reports.
The 28-year-old has been averaging just 9.3 points and six assists per game, while the Nets have now lost 12 of their last 14 outings.
