The Brooklyn Nets have progressed to the semi-finals of the NBA playoffs as they beat the Toronto Raptors 4-3 in their first-round series, clinching the success with a 104-103 victory in game seven on Saturday night.
The result saw the Nets claim their first-ever game seven win, while Jason Kidd became the first rookie coach to win a game seven in the NBA's history.
Joe Johnson led the scoring with 26 points, including 11 straight in the fourth quarter, but it was Paul Pierce who was the real saviour as he blocked Kyle Lowry's last-second layup attempt to seal the one-point victory.
In Sunday's other game seven contest, the San Antonio Spurs made it through with a 4-3 overall win, having defeated the Dallas Mavericks 119-96 at the AT&T Center in Texas.
Tony Parker scored a series-high 32 points in the match, with Manu Ginobili coming off the bench to add 20 points for his side.
