Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Monday's games in the NBA.

The Memphis Grizzlies booked the final place in the NBA playoffs by beating the Phoenix Suns 97-91 on Monday night.

Zach Randolph scored 32 points for the Grizzlies, whose win means that the Suns will play no part in the post-season games.

The Miami Heat gifted the top seed in the Eastern Conference to the Indiana Pacers after suffering a 114-93 defeat to the Washington Wizards.

LeBron James and Chris Bosh both sat out the game for the defending champions, who proved to be no match for the Wizards as Trevor Ariza scored 25 points in the victory.

The Toronto Raptors set a new franchise record by securing their 48th win of the season by beating the Milwaukee Bucks 110-100 at the Air Canada Centre.

Greivis Vasquez scored 25 points for the Raptors, and Kyle Lowry chipped in with 24 more for the Raptors, who are just one win away from securing third spot in the Eastern Conference.

Michael Carter-Williams registered 21 points and 14 rebounds as the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Boston Celtics 113-108.

Boston's Chris Johnson stepped out of bounds to be denied a game-winning three point effort late on, and it was a pair of free throws from James Anderson which eventually secured the win for Philadelphia.

Chris Douglas-Roberts beat the buzzer with a jump shot to guide the Charlotte Bobcats to a 95-93 win over the Atlanta Hawks in a dramatic game at the Philips Arena.

The Bobcats trailed by 15 points in the fourth quarter, but managed to edge out the Hawks, who rested key players as they continued their preparation for the playoffs.

Mike Dunleavy scored 22 points as the Chicago Bulls remained in contention for third spot in the Eastern Conference by beating the Orlando Magic 108-95.

Joakim Noah added 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulls, who need to beat Charlotte on Wednesday and hope that the Raptors lose to the New York Knicks for them to clinch third place.

The Houston Rockets made sure that they will have home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs thanks to a 104-98 win over the San Antonio Spurs.

Chandler Parsons scored 21 points for the Rockets, while Dwight Howard added 20 points and 17 rebounds to give the team an added boost ahead of their meeting with the Portland Trail Blazers in the playoffs.

Tyreke Evans scored a career-high 41 points as the New Orleans Pelicans beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 101-89.

The former NBA Rookie of the Year also added nine rebounds and eight assists as the Pelicans ended an eight-game losing streak by beating one of the favourites for the title.

Nick Young starred for the Los Angeles Lakers as they ended a run of seven games without a win by beating the Utah Jazz 119-104 at the EnergySolutions Arena.

Young scored 41 points for the Lakers, who pulled away in the fourth quarter after being level on 86-86 just before the final period.
