San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has revealed that he and Frank Gore overruled a play call from head coach Jim Harbaugh in their win over the Atlanta Falcons.
With the ball on the two-yard line of the Falcons, Kaepernick and Gore decided to change a call to a running play to allow Gore to power into the endzone for a touchdown to hand the 49ers the lead.
"We had a different play call and Frank said he wanted the same thing," Kaepernick told reporters. "I wasn't about to argue with him.
"I don't think Coach was too mad because we scored. So it was all right."
San Francisco secured their place in the NFC playoffs and can still attain the number one seed if results go in their favour on Sunday.
