Mike Sherman: 'No problem with Mike Wallace reaction'

Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman insists that he has "no problem" with wide receiver Mike Wallace's reaction to his performance against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman has insisted that he has "no problem" with wide receiver Mike Wallace's angry reaction to his performance in the opening match of the season.

Wallace reportedly stormed out of the Dolphins' dressing room having been targeted just five times by quarterback Ryan Tannehill during his side's 23-10 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

The 27-year-old, who caught just one of those five passes, has since claimed that his anger was born out of frustration at his own performance rather than the team's tactics, and Sherman believes that his desire to be more involved in the game is a good thing for his side.

"Mike's a competitor. He wants to feel a part of the game, as I hope that he would," Sherman is quoted as saying by ESPN.

"He came here to be a factor in our season and our success. The fact that he's disappointed he only caught one ball, that's expected. I have no problem with that."

Wallace joined the Dolphins on a five-year contract worth $60m during the off-season.
