Sheamus has become the new WWE United States champion by winning a 20-man battle royal on Monday's RAW to end Dean Ambrose's 351-day reign.
Ambrose was made to defend his strap against 19 other superstars to start the show as Chief Operating Officer Triple H continues to punish The Shield members for their rebellion against The Authority.
Former world champions Mark Henry, Big Show and Dolph Ziggler were among those eliminated before Ambrose lifted Jack Swagger over the top rope to leave just him and Sheamus inside the ring.
