Former German goalkeeper Tim Wiese offered WWE deal

Former German goalkeeper Tim Wiese reveals that he has been contacted by WWE about the possibility of signing for the company.

Former Germany goalkeeper Tim Wiese has revealed that he is considering an offer to become a professional wrestler with WWE.

Wiese, who retired from football earlier this year, has bulked up to over 18 stone, and he has claimed that he is discussing the possibility of joining the Sports Entertainment company with his agent.

The 32-year-old told Bild: "I got an official request from the WWE. It's for a commitment from me to become a pro wrestler. I'll listen to everything on its own merits.

"Why should I say no? Wrestling is very popular, especially in the United States. I will discuss the offer in the next few weeks with my agent. I am not scared."

Wiese spent the majority of his football career with Kaiserslautern and Werder Bremen, while he also won six caps for the German national team.
