Roman Vlasov wins 74kg Greco-Roman gold

Russia's Roman Vlasov wins gold in the 74kg Greco-Roman wrestling final, beating Armenia's Arsen Julfalakyan in the final.

Russia's Roman Vlasov has won a gold medal in the 74kg Greco Roman wrestling final.

Vlasov, 22, overcame Armenia's Arsen Julfalakyan 2-0 in the best-of-three-rounds contest to add an Olympic gold to his growing collection, having won gold at the World Championships last year.

Julfalakyan, on the other hand, failed to follow in the footsteps of his father, who won gold in the same event back in 1988.

Meanwhile, Lithuania's Aleksandr Kazakevic and Emin Ahmadov of Azerbaijan both picked up bronze medals.
