Azerbaijan wrestler Khetag Gazyumov wins the gold medal in the men's freestyle 97kg by defeating Georgia's Elzibar Odikadze at the European Games.

Azerbaijan's Khetag Gazyumov has claimed the gold medal in men's freestyle 97kg wrestling at the European Games in Baku.

The 32-year-old overcame the Russian Federation's Abdusalam Gadisov 3-1 in the semi-finals to book his place in the gold-medal match.

Gazyumov maintained his composure in front of his home crowd to defeat Elzibar Odikadze of Georgia 3-1 in the final to secure his country's 10th gold medal of the games.

Gadisov and the Ukraine's Valerii Andriitsev won the bronze medals in the event.
